Hans Hoffman Abstract Expressionists

Here is my painting done in 1971 inspired by Hans Hoffman and "The Great Wave" by Katsushika Hokusai. This is the first time I put this all together, these were my influences back in art school.

“The Golden Wall” by Hans Hoffman takes this theory of repeating shapes and their inter-relationship to the next level with the addition of color. Orange and yellow are analogous colors, which blend well together, and blue is the opposite or compliment of orange, creating visual excitement and a dynamic composition.
